The reasons for hiring this woman are valid. If they believe she is the best then that is enough. Just because she worked for someone else you find objectionable is no reason to ignore her job proficiency.
If you were in trouble and needed a lawyer would you pass up the best you knew because he defended someone you dislike?
Do you think she comes without values or ideological preferences?
There are literally thousands of great lawyers in the country, so why would any conservative hire the guy that not only defended Jeffrey Dahmer but sympathizes with him?
But this is about world views and values.
Has this woman done work for Christian Republican and conservative politicians, and been willing to set aside her personal beliefs to do so?
Over all, people take political jobs that correspond with their personal beliefs. Does the RNC hire Dems, and the DNC Republicans? Besides for maybe some moles, no.
You don’t understand how devastating leaks can be and how this opens up the Trumps to all the scum of the Democrat left. Jamie Gorelick was bad enough, but at least she might be cautious in not wanting to get disbarred or prosecuted. Do you really think a liberal NYC pr type, with close ties to leading NY Democrats, can be trusted to protect Republican and conservative secrets and interests????
If I needed a lawyer, I'd want the scummiest, most unscrupulous bottom-feeder I could find. You don't hire attorneys to play fair. You hire them to win.
If the differences between Republicans and Democrats were all about tax rates and such things, your point would be valid. But the differences are about killing 60 million babies, and the Muslim invasion, and whether we will be governed from Brussels, and whether we will have any free speech.
