Not so sure about that Police by and large support Trump big time. They will do there job and arrest the guy.

The UC and Berkeley police had stand down orders during the Milo riot some weeks ago.
They would not arrest or stop any of the violent anarchists who break laws and commit crimes.
Looks like up thread it was mentioned that a MAGA person was attacked and police are going to arrest the Trump supporter.

Not want to get into a spitting contest with you on this one, but I have seen pictures of them stand around looking pretty as Trump supporters, including elderly men and women are getting the hell beat out of them by the anarchists. And if they are so pro Trump or pro law and order, why hasn't the professor at Berkley that pepper sprayed the young lady been arrested. There is video tape of him doing that. While they may be, as you say, pro Trump, they have a helluvaway of showing it. I am not concerned about them being pro Trump or, for that matter, anti Trump. That is individual choices for them, their right, and their business. What concerned me was the law[s] being enforced and I have not seen a lot of that happening. There are laws, Federal and I suppose State, against deliberately stopping the flow of traffic on an Inter State Highway. I also suppose that there are municipal laws or ordinances against deliberately blocking the flow of traffic on a City Street. I saw few, if any arrests for that. As things rocked on there were a few show arrests made for this but initially there were none.

This is Berkeley. The police already stood down once while the rioters attacked peaceful citizens out to hear Milo speak, and trashed the campus.Ditto San Jose. There is a reason why we identify and expose the obscenity of the "Police State." Support for police should be conditional, based on performance.
Did they "do there (sic) job" here?
