A Canadian man says he was stung by a scorpion while travelling in business class on a United Airlines flight.
Richard Bell said the scorpion fell from the overhead bin and onto his head during lunch on a trip from Houston, Texas to Calgary in Canada.
After putting it on his plate, he was stung. United has offered compensation.
It happened on Sunday, the same day a United passenger was violently dragged from a plane after refusing to give his seat to a staff member.
Video of the incident has been watched by millions of people online.
Dr David Dao, a 69-year-old Vietnamese-American, lost two front teeth and suffered a broken nose and a "significant" concussion in the incident.

Wow, all of these news, I don’t want to miss my chance to sue United, I think I’ll buy a ticket and go somewhere.
Don't you just hate it when this happens?
Next it will be snakes and the beatings will continue until moral improves.
The media attack on United continues...
When you sheeple gonna figure it out?
Prius cars have the same brakes as United’s airplanes...
That's because it wasn't one of these ...
They grow 'em big in Texas ...
The scorpion had earlier offered him $800 for his seat.
Actually now is a good time to fly United if you are one of those opportunist types that try to get bumped. My guess is United will be offering top dollar for bumpees.
.
There’s no attack.
UAL is just so twisted that a simple report of any event concerning them looks like an attack.
.
He’s lucky that’s all that happened to him.
At least it was just one scorpion - not Snakes on a Plane.
This is what my brother said. If they would’ve upped the ante a little bit, they could’ve easily gotten 4 people to get off the plane. $2000 to get off the plane for a later flight? Sure, I’d do it.
No way, behind the news of the last month or so, United is under a very well planned and orchestrated attack by a company that will later take them out.
Really, a story about a booted plane passenger is “gripping” the world for the last several days, just because it’s an “interesting” story. Yeah, whatever...
Same folks here, if it were POLITICALLY driven, would have their antenna up, smelling BS in an instant.
There is no connection between the two. The a$$holes put the two incidents in the same article. This is a common practice of the incompetent media.
The only common item is the name “United.” The media is nothing but a bunch of bottom-feeding parasites. Obviously some passenger put the damn thing in his bags. This is not United’s fault, and United bears no responsibility. However, the snake lawyers will not be able to get any money from the passenger, and so they will go after United.
For your information, I want United sued for $25 million over the beating up of the Vietnamese doctor, so STFU.
Why did he put it on his plate instead of under his heel?
Its their plane, it’s private property... if they want to sting you with Scorpions they can. Besides, the passenger whined about getting stung, so they obviously deserved it.
The media always likes to pile on. If it weren’t for the other United story, this would not have been in the news.
Another way the media controls and shapes what we think.
Your not supposed to play with it. To the floor and under foot is the method. Provided you have shoes on.
