President Trump changes stance on 4 campaign positions in just 1 day

Over the course of just one day, President Trump declared different positions than he took during the campaign on four issues.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal and at a press conference on Wednesday, President Trump declared that China is not a currency manipulator, entertained the possibility of re-appointing Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve, asserted that NATO is a relevant alliance and expressed a favorable view of the Export-Import Bank.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer portrayed the shifts as reactions to changing circumstances rather than an ideological modification.

So true!! As I said yesterday, in the world of Dump on Trump, nothing ever changes. He doesn’t negotiate with or make deals with China or NATO. They don’t make concessions/change. Trump just sits around idly, changing his views randomly and capriciously for no other reason than to give the Trump-Dumpers new comments to criticize.

She’s a criminal.
Donald promised to appoint a special prosecutor.
Comey said she sent classified data.
You love her and dream of giving her tongue baths.
Nobody else on this forum does.
The fact that she has a defense other than “Yes, I am guilty.” does not prove that she cannot be prosecuted to anybody other than those who are in love with her like you are.

This the new meme, i.e., Trump is a flip-flopper. When you drill down on what Trump has said on the campaign trail and his actions now, there really is no flip-flopping going on.

For example, they say Trump flipped on NATO. He did not. He said NATO was obsolete because they were not focusing on terrorism. NATO changed policies on terrorism and Trump said that NATO was no longer obsolete. Trump is still pushing for NATO members to make good their promise to spend 2% of GDP on defense.

The MSM are trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters. They never mention the promises he has kept or is in the process of keeping, e.g., getting out of TPP, enforcing immigration laws, building the wall, eliminating regulations, eviscerating EPA, appointing a conservative justice to SCOTUS, implementing tax reform, repealing and replacing Obamacare, approving the Keystone XL pipeline, etc.

Yawn. Earth shattering stuff, there. I can’t think of anyone who would have changed their vote based on either side of those four items...

“Definitely causes everyone a lot of angst, me included.”
I’m pretty much in that same frame of mind. I do recall him stating firmly in at least one of his speeches: “I WILL NEVER LIE TO YOU.”
If he doesn’t take the corporate tax to 15% as he promised, that isn’t good. He’s considering having Yellen stay on board. He seems to be waffling on several issues when he promised otherwise.
Whatever.

“declared that China is not a currency manipulator,”

Part of a deal with Xi.

“entertained the possibility of re-appointing Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve,”

“Entertained the possibility” means nothing.

“asserted that NATO is a relevant alliance”

After several members agreed to pay more.

“and expressed a favorable view of the Export-Import Bank.”

So one change on an issue 99% of Americans don’t give a rat’s ass about.

The fact that she has a defense other than “Yes, I am guilty.” does not prove that she cannot be prosecuted

Most people would be prosecuted for what she did. She will probably skate, although I might end up surprised. The reason is pretty simple, she is hiding behind crimes of her subordinates and using a I-know-nothing defense. Although she sent plenty of classified emails, she didn't send anything "marked classified" except a couple emails which were marked (C) for confidential. That's because all of her underlings put in the minimal effort to strip classification markings from the emails they sent her. But a few got through with the (C). She forwarded some of them. She told the FBI she thought it was section C comes after A and B.

That's the reality. Almost anyone else who did that and used those lame excuses would be prosecuted, but she will not because she has too much power over the FBI and others.

Anyway you are missing the bigger point which is her prosecution (and subsequent acquittal) creates no political advantage whereas leaving the sword hanging over her head has political advantages. Spending time going after her would be stupid and Trump is not stupid.

Then why is he acting like Jared Kushner’s father-in-law, instead of the America-firster we voted for?

Where do you get Jared Kushner’s father in law out of bombing ISIS, cutting U.N. support, cutting funds for abortions, Striking Syria, cutting rules and regulations strangling our economy, appointing a Supreme Court Justice who will Follow the Constitution, bringing back our coal mines and opening our energy production, harnessing the outrageous EPA, beginning the elimination and reduction of unnecessary dual government offices, bringing down the illegal penetration of our country by aliens over 70%, bringing law and order back to America with Jeff Sessions, etc. etc. etc. That’s just for starters and we’re not even into his Administration 3 months yet!
JEEZ but you belly-achers are nuts!

#NeverTrump folks are easy to spot. They post fallacies & push false narratives & they all use the same talking points their establishment masters have fed to them. They hope to “divide & conquer” via FUD. They also preach murdering the good for the perfect.

Funny thing is they really aren’t very good at it lol.

I thank God every day for President Trump and pray for his continuing success. Had Trump not entered the race, the GOPe would have delivered the nomination to Jeb Bush and then Her Royal Heinous Hillary would be sitting in the White House today.

Those who think that doesn’t make any difference whatsoever are perfectly free to post somewhere else.

God bless President Trump.

God bless America.

“I am bothered by unkept promises re Obama’s executive orders and actions. Such simple things to do, yet among the first promises unkept.”

Horse-hockey! Have you been paying attention? President Trump had 2 executive orders halted by the 9th Circuit for no legal reason. Now that Gorsuch is on the USSC I expect President Trump to start reversing more of Odumbo’s EO’s on top of the ones he’s already reversed.

The RATs had 8 years to plant all sorts of roadblocks that will take time to remove. Don’t murder the good for the perfect. That path leads to destruction & failure.

“The lazy, ad hominem is getting tiring”

So is all the bitching & moaning about President Trump via false narratives, fallacies & non-sequiturs.

“He hasn’t done X yet like he said he would because I am too simple to understand why it can’t all happen like I want it to, when I want it.” BS like that gets really old.
