Former President George W. Bush says he can’t remember if he said “that was some weird s***” after President Trump’s inauguration speech in January.
He was asked about the alleged remark in an interview that aired on NPR’s “Morning Edition” Thursday.
He does, however, clearly remember his awkward response to rain that day.
“I wish I got the rain poncho on a little more cleanly,” Bush joked, referring to his struggle to put on a transparent poncho during the ceremony as it began to rain. “My daughters were aghast. ‘Dad, you’re a national tweet sensation. You’re trending,’ or whatever the words are. I said, ‘I don’t know what the heck that means.’ But then I saw the pictures and I can see why I was trending.”

Of course he ‘remembers’ saying that ugly remark about another conservative. W. is trying to play the ‘I don’t recall’ game now that he’s been called on it.
I couldn’t care less about how he put a poncho on.
I care more how did took his party loyalty off, just to impress the old guard of #NeverTrumps.

I used to genuinely like W. I don’t have a shred of affection left. Not sorry I voted for him, considering the alternative. Nevertheless, I just want him to go away.

You mean when Poncho asked Mr. Bush for amnesty, and W replied “Sure, and bring 30 million of your friends and family”?
Well George you didn’t build a wall. You and others obstructed a wall because you didn’t believe in it. Plus you wanted basically an open border with Mexico

He was recently in Arizona to fund raise for Jeff Flake NeverTrumpers stick together.
Flake is as bad as Juan except for the attention whore part. A backstabbing rino who needs to go. We need ONE good republican to primary him. The AZ Rats will try to keep Flake on in because of the open primary.
Is that a photo of him in front of the Textbook Depository building?
McCain only got through the primary with 51%. Dr. Kelli Ward almost got him. She is now looking for funds to take on Flake. I will probably donate to her as I did in the prior election. I have found nothing in her positions to give me any concern.
I agree - but really if you haven't seen the 'poncho' postings you've gotta take a look. They really are funny.
