Most jets do. It’s called thrust reversers. They can back up but never do because it sucks FOD into the engines.
A new high torque electric engine than fits in the wheel is being installed in some new construction jets.
No reverse thrust needed and you don’t need to have a hire a guy with a vehicle to tow the plane so it saves money.
