North Korea is like 1984 in real life. All of their threats are propaganda. America and Japan are the enemy. South Korea is a unwitting tool of the US. China and Russia are their partners.

If China invades, North Korean citizens would think they were coming to protect them. China is their ally.

I wonder if the assassination of Kim’s relative in Malaysia was the last straw. Up until now, what happened in North Korea stayed in North Korea.

I would love to see North Korean news right now. Have they brought back the screaming banshee in the bathrobe yet?

“Up until now, what happened in North Korea stayed in North Korea.”

No, in the past they have assassinated North Koreans abroad, and others too. The only big difference in the Malaysia assassination is who they killed. Killing a Kim prince is a big thing in a NK sense, but not necessarily a foreign policy sense.

The dead Kim also doesn’t seem to have been some nations backup Korean prince in waiting for a puppet regime as he was not expensively coddled and protected. He was out in public in the airport, flying commercial, just another passenger. If he was a Chinese asset, or someone’s asset, they would have taken better care of him.

The sign here is that young Kim had it done because HE is feeling insecure.
