Commentator Peter Alliss caused a sexism row by referring to the short skirt worn by Sergio Garcias fiancée. The 86-year-old made the off-mic remark about Angela Akins in BBC coverage of the Masters. As images were shown of Akins, 31, reacting to Garcias win, Alliss muffled voice was heard saying: Shes got the shortest skirt on the campus. Details at link.

One good looking woman
An she KNOWS she has great legs
Announcer was right
Fowler and Spieth mailed it in on Sunday...
Which she obviously did knowing she'd be all over the front pages and twitter. Alliss is right. It couldn't have been any shorter without showing off what Garcia was getting later.
Well that might have something to do with how she became Sergio’s fiance. By the way, her grandfather is Marty Akins:
Martin Ray Akins (born January 6, 1954) is a former college All-American football player and politician. He started as quarterback for the Texas Longhorns in the early 1970s and was the only Longhorn quarterback to start three seasons for Legendary Head Football Coach Darrell Royal. Darrell Royal said: “Akins directed and ran the option and the wishbone offense better than any other player in football history.” Akins was the only wishbone quarterback to ever be selected a first team All-American. Coach Royal also stated: “Marty was the best all around athlete I ever coached and he was the best college football player in the nation in 1975.” Royal added: “Marty making All-American as a wishbone quarterback was like winning the Heisman Trophy.”
Oh please
This is as stupid as the huff over Musburgers admiration of Katherine Webb ....the Alabama QBs fiancé
That QBs mom was hot too
Only people mad are less attractive women
They are a big itch over every damn thing
Unhappy so they want the world to be
And I am not a Musburgers fan with his head all the way up Irish and Wolverine butt
She looks nice. This is a tempest in a teapot.
Now we're even.
Then you must have missed it the second time Ben Crenshaw won. He hadn’t been playing well and had been pallbearer earlier in the week at the funeral of his mentor Harvey Penick.
don’t miss #1
all this fabricated outrage from the same SJW etc crowd that glamorizes and worships LBGT perversions...
OOps! Her FATHER was . . . knew his dad also
That was a different era. Crenshaw never could hit it much out of his shadow. And this past Sunday would have been Seve Ballestero’s 60th birthday. Not to diminish the accomplishments of Harvey, but Seve is the fountainhead of Spanish golf.
Those were short!”
But I doubt if you won or played in the Masters that year. When golfers play in the Maters, the women accompanying them are expected to dress like ladies. She did not.
Well it WAS short. Maybe there was sexism involved on the part of the woman.
being a wolverine fan, I think his head is up mostly irish butt.
he hates the wolverines, IMHO
The punning is getting out of hand around here. lol
You are only in trouble if you apologize.
Make no mistake! I was pulling for Sergio. Different times aside, country aside, I was pulling for him on Sunday. But no major until then? Thank you!
The gods of golf are not always kind. Remember Robert De Vicenzo? A scorecard error was it.
I remember a PRACTICE round drive that Seve took at Colonial in the late ‘80s . . . Standing on one foot and swinging with one hand (the driver, holding it with only his left hand) and he hit it straight down the fairway about 275 yards! A true show for all who witnessed it!! It was truly amazing feat!!! It was similarly a truly and moment for Sergio to break through on the anniversary of Seve’s 60th. But do not diminish the feat that Ben accomplished in HIS week. Were there no others on the course?
Oh and the old adage . . . drive for show, putt for dough.
yes he’s a lover of the Golden brain bucket
Ironically I just bought season tickets at for one of my Michigan employees and her hubby for The Big House this year online
I’m an Ole Miss grad but my large family loves Geaux first and the Tide second
We plan to go to a Death Valley game this season
Me personally
I just love to see teams that try
And I look for talent
I noticed Mahonnes at TT years back before he was touted
A QB of color....partial anyhow....who can do more than just scramble
He can Marshall the team
The next Warren Moon
Good luck
Mucous have OSU in your conference
