It doesn’t matter to these assad/putin apologists. assad helped al Qaeda types kill Americans. They do not care. Their love of putin and RT is eternal, fixed, and an irrational faith. As long as the USA helps assad/putin, they’re happy.
Putin needs Syria. Not Assad. Will be interesting to see what happens when Putin tosses Assad into the dust bin of history. I suppose our local Putinists won’t miss a beat and we’ll never hear again how wonder Assad is, how he saving Christians, etc., etc.
I believe you’re right. As much as they squeal like young girls with delight for assad, their real love, their real affection is for putin. Ever since putin started taking off his shirt and showing his flabby body, he’s had a strange type of pseudo conservative who will follow him anywhere.
