“Historic” how?
The LameStream’s passive-aggressive way of saying the Republicans “stole Garland’s nomination” and “went nuclear” to get him confirmed.
There aren’t that many of them, so the list is relatively short from the beginning of the republic until now.
And, of course, there are the issues of Scalia’s death, so that’s a bit different than normal.
Then the issue of McConnell refusing the nominee of Obama.
And finally, I think he’s the first new scotus judge to be filibustered.
That’s all a bit different than the norm....so historic fits.
“Historic how?”
If you pick up a real American History book you will find that each time a member of the USSC is selected, resigns or dies it is always noted as a historic event.
Add to that this man replaced Justice Scalia, an amazing man who held the line against the progressive unconstitutional BS unforgivingly + he was appointed by a non-politician named President Trump & you have a historic moment.
