I compliment you on remembering and bringing up that NYU experiment. I remember reading and remarking on it contemporaneously. I just re-read it, thanks to your nudging my recollection.
Bottom Line: When a woman portrayed Trump in the debates and a man played Hillary and re-enacted the debate, (liberal) audiences were impressed with the Trump logic and presentation and disgusted with the Hillary portrayal (again, by a man), although they went in thinking a woman would never get away with saying the things Trump had said. At least one commenter wanted to punch the guy with Hillary’s lines “in the face.”
I tell you, if two guys did the same schtick (or two women) the enactment of the Trump position would thrash the Hillary position every time. Love to see that.

It's unusual to find a liberal study, especially from a school like NYU, that liberals reject, ignore, or supress.
