We had 911 because we took out Hussein, in my opinion. He kept the terrorists under control.
Take out Assad and we’ll just be creating more terrorists. But we never learn.

Nevertheless, it’s an unwinnable situation because there are no good regimes possible. Now if Assad was a dictator who had things in control like Sadaam did or Mubarak, or even that sicko Kaddafi, it would be assinine to start another so called Arab Spring. Right now, Syria is just a breeding ground for ISIS and other so called revolutionary groups because they and the people really have nothing to lose. Situation is horrible not just for the Syrians who we say we don’t care about, but for us...instability not good. What I don’t hear is who or what would come in if he left. If it was gonna be years of anarchy it’s a waste of money and blood.

As others have pointed out you have the timeline backwards. 9/11 was in 2001 and the Iraq war started in 2003.
9/11 was part of what emboldened Bush to make the case for going into Iraq.
