At least this gets the Susan Rice story off the headlines. Can you say Wag The Dog?

Isis and other nefarious groups have used gas before when they are loosing .....they know the world reacts to it and gives them time to recover ground....I don't recall it ever proved Assad had used gas, rather it was always proved it was the terrorist groups. Unfortunately the public always responds before all the details are in....and can't discern psycological warfare nor manuvering. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Trumps 'said this' because he wants the those groups less defensive, (which they would be if they thought he opposed Assad),....gives him the advantage when he takes them down!

I can’t say with certainty what Trump was up to. He’s not above playing games to attain goals.

Your comments on Assad vs the terrorists are sound > IMO.

indeed...Susan Rice is now fading.
Sec of State Tillerson just said Assad’s future is in the hands of the Syrian people.
Deep State moves again.

someone suggested the Jordanian King might have some “input” when he meets with Trump!

hundreds of articles online re the following - this one was way back when only 70,000 Syrians had died in this dreadful war. Turkey should be on the list as well, of course:

2013: Reuters: Americans are training Syria rebels in Jordan: Spiegel
Americans are training Syrian anti-government fighters in Jordan, the German weekly Der Spiegel said on Sunday, quoting what it said were participants and organizers...

Jordanian intelligence services are involved in the program, which aims to build around a dozen units totaling some 10,000 fighters to the exclusion of radical Islamists, Spiegel reported...

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are widely believed to be providing weapons to the rebels, and Arab League ministers decided on Wednesday to let member nations arm them.

Well none of us really know what Trump will actually do...and he wants it like that. But based on how Trump plays his hand....he’s using the Gas attack to throw ISis off guard....

Pays to hear again Jordans Pres. and Trumps news conference today....muffle the sounds of changing his mind about Assad and just hear them speak about Isis and terrorists and how these two instead to work together to take them out.......and what they aren’t going to say......

I think this is true. I hope Trump knows deep state’s history on the last chemical attack wrongly blamed on Assad. It was more likely done by deep state’s terrorists fighting Assad for McCain and his buddies.

When Trump see McCain wetting his pants, demanding this attack and that attack (on Russia and/or Syria), he needs to really watch out. McCain and Isis are joined at the hip. They would gas civilians and blame it on Assad, demanding his removal (war with Russia). McCain is a maniac.

I don’t disagree with that. That stands a good chance of being a driving force.

Jordan’s king is a decent sort. His dad was a good guy too.

I like the idea of Trump working with Jordan.

“Assad and Russia had nothing to gain and everything to lose by using chemical weapons, “

I generally agree - although in the case of Russia they may want to ramp up the refugee crisis to further disrupt Europe.

I am going to trust Trump on this one. He knows that the “intelligence” he is being given is, in some cases, from the same outfits that were leaking his phone calls - and he hasn’t forgotten.

Whether reports are true or false, Trump is responding to this with perfect political and diplomatic pitch.

Regardless of who is responsible, Trump is sending the message to the Iran, North Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Russia , Ukraine that acts of terror will not be tolerated and executing a terror attack will bring a serious consequences..

If Syria and Russia are responsible Trump has responded firmly and appropriately

If this is an ISIS work accident or false flag operation then Trump is still in a strong negotiating position with Russia and Syria, both of whom may be more willing to make concessions and quickly cut a deal after having the solution to their collective nightmare dangled in front of them only to have it pulled back because of a terror event out of their control.

Trump is no doubt relying on reports from the CIA and NSA that Syria is guilty of the attacks.

If this proves to be false, Trump will have overwhelming public support for cleaning house and firing a lot of CIA, DIA,FBI and NSA Obama era dead enders who desperately need to be fired, regardless of whether they were simply incompetent or were acting to provide false information in support of some nefarious false flag operation.

The axis of evil states still get the message that they are going to be dealt with harshly if they step out of line.

Seems like a lot of win with no downside for Trump regardless of how this plays.

I’ve heard Abdull speak many times..I have never heard him speak with such directness and full support about any other President regarding the ME and Syria as he stated today in his support and partnership with Trump....absolute confidence and agreement....it was stunning.....he minced no words.

The King revealed a great deal also about the Arab Summit....just as SISI did in his visit.....these strong ME nation leaders Trump has met with are showing support for him which tells me they have a plan they all are on board for regarding Isis and Syria.....

Also this ‘strong show of Unity with Jordan and Egypt’s leaders ...is a wake up call to the other ME nations up to no good....Egypt and Jordan to take a huge lead in what happens over there now and in the future. We really are see a huge coming together and these men are coming across strong together.....they wouldn’t be doing so if something ahead pretty powerful wasn’t in the works.

“relying on reports from the CIA and NSA”

I used to be more comfortable with this. Now I am not so sure.

Also, this happens just 2 days after the islamic attack on Russians in St. Petersburg and effectively neutralizes any sympathy the world was feeling for Russia.

If Assad actually did this, an unprovoked chemical attack on his own people at this point in time, it is without doubt one of the stupidest decisions any world leader has ever made.

I need some better proof before I’m willing to assume that anyone, even Assad, is that stupid.

The general rule for news coming out of the middle east is don’t believe it until there is overwhelming proof that it’s true. I’m gonna stick to the general rule for now.

Egypt and Jordan are also the only 2 arab countries who have signed peace treaties with Israel.

Yes......as long as Abdull remains in charge of Jordan they it’ll work.....if not down the road that tune will change unless one like him is in office.....the people unfortunately can be steared by whoever is in office..and many are Palestinians.

SISi has the entire Military supporting him for obvious reasons.....they will never again fall under Muslim Brotherhood governance as the people will oppose that before it gets off the ground.

There are other ME nations working with us as well but have to lay low.

Yes, but I have learned, that the Germans treated their enemy quite savagely, like exterminating whole towns for not surrendering, ect... Unless I have been misled on that as well?

It was a stupid war that could have been avoided, pretty much fault lying with everyone, except the Americans.

I also think Egypt and Jordan are folks we can deal with.

They have moderate governments and we should befriend nations in the Middle-East that will work with us.

It would be nice if Libya would come around at some point, but I realize that’s not very likely.

Thanks for your report on these events.
