I don't know if I agree. I think the President knows enough to examine the source of information & advice. To bring America together he needs to have some entry to "the other side" even if just to defang them.

Ivanka & Jared are too far left for me in many areas but I think Trump will listen to them but keep his promises to America. The listening and engaging may be what allows him to keep those promises.

In order to unite, we either educate them to understand the validity of our position, or, compromise, meaning we give up some of what we believe.

It is a good idea to try the former, and essential that we avoid the latter. The mis-informed stand a chance to be properly educated. I believe it is a wasted effort to try to sway their hardcore communist/socialist/fascist/tyrannical leaders.
