You got the last part wrong
Turkey our ally aided ISIS and helped them smuggle oil
Erdogan’s son got rich from this
The flow was only disrupted when Russia entered SYRIA and started bombing oil tankers

On your second point Hafez Al assad may have been aware of the Beirut barracks bombing but it was ordered and executed fromTehran - Admiral James Lyon has spoken about how the Navy had developed a counter strike but Caspar Weinberger nixed it and persuaded Reagan too

Tehran would not have bombed Beirut if the Shah of Iran had not been driven from power under Jimmy Carter’s administration. The way that Carter dropped the Shah like a hot potato certainly makes it look like the U.S. had something to do with the Shah being pushed out of power.

Another thing that has a certain similarity was how the South African government was driven out of power by all the hooping and hollering by the media. Why was it necessary for us to interfere in the affairs of South Africa? There are many horrors going on in South Africa today but there is a mass media black out that keep the public unaware. There is so much manipulation of public opinion through the mass media. We conservatives should be very aware of this since the big media love to drag us through the mud and see what they have done to Trump? We are living in the age of political mass media hoaxes.
