I am referring to the measures of central tendency (i.e. average, median) across races. There are outliers (i.e. Exceptions) at each end of the curves by race. Contrary to what people want to admit, there are rather dramatic differences in the average IQs across some races. These are the unpleasant truths, amd denying them won’t change them.
Yes I know the Bell Curve. It applies to standard deviations not to individuals. It really is not important for individuals. A given child taken out of that group of individuals could fall anywhere on that bell curve regardless of race. The proportion of Asian children that will be gifted is highest, the proportion of Black children that are below 2 standard deviations will be highest but most fall in the middle. The center of the curve shifts slightly leftward for Caucasians, more to the left for Blacks but there is tremendous overlap.
We are not educating a curve we are educating individuals and intelligence tests do not measure drive, ambition, honor and many other traits that lead to success. We need to teach to help every individual child make the most of their potential and give them the opportunities to exceed expectations.
I expect we agree that the wasteland our public schools have become in the inner cities is often a Black problem and the kids that are there already have been damaged and make it impossible for others to learn.
I just don’t think it is intrinsic in the kids. I think the Democrats have done this with their entitlements and the Liberals have done this with their no accountability and racial prejudice malarkey. We are going to need to bring back consequences and accountability for all if we want to get real with making changes in our education system.
