He doesn’t develop this notion systematically but that he names it at all, and so bluntly, is significant. Indeed, the long-term value of this book probably will lie less in Hayes’s survey of “the new Jim Crow” system that Michelle Alexander has described than in his nascent effort to confront and counteract the underlying force of white fear.
Hayes suggests that fear is not just an aspect of white identity; it is the very reason for it — that whiteness in America was constructed and is still maintained, through power structures such as the criminal justice system, to dominate people defined as nonwhite and to control the resulting anxiety about the possibility of rebellion.
I think you could modify a scene from TOMBSTONE that would sadly say just what the problem really is.

That's because their views of minorities haven't changed in 200 years. Not one whit. They regard minorities, especially blacks, as their property, to do with as they see fit.
They never liked minorities. That's why the bulk of abortion clinics are in minority neighborhoods. It's why they encourage blacks to speak "Ebonics" and Latinos to keep speaking Spanish instead of English. It's why they created labor unions -- to keep black folks from getting jobs. It's why they are so vehemently opposed to school choice. It's why they are so opposed to effective crime fighting in minority neighborhoods. it's why they keep building substandard housing to house primarily minorities. It's why Woodrow Wilson is one of their biggest heroes.
The left needs a permanent and ever-expanding underclass to be dependent on them so they can stay in power -- and that is the ONLY thing any of them care about. The ONLY thing.

Lincoln wanted both emancipation and repatriation. I guess its way too late for the repatriation part. So if the slave descendant reparation movement prevails, the equitable reparation would be US government paid transportation to the country of the slave descendant’s origin. As the TV commercial describes, you send in a DNA sample and the company sends you what mix you are. USA pays cargo ship steerage rate to the nearest port. Take it or STFU forever.
