Well ... yes, of course. Barack still plays golf. Not much has changed. Michelle is left as a former food czar whose writ has been reduced to her own family, which has never paid any attention to it. Now that she can't impose it on schoolchildren, she's at loose ends.

For all of Michelle’s reported complaints about the difficulties of living in the White House, it seems pretty clear that Michelle likes living the high life. That includes hobnobbing with celebrities, wearing designer clothing, and jetting off to extravagant vacations on a regular basis.
The adjustment she is probably facing is largely due to a lack of resources at her disposal.
