Matt Drudge, the editor of the highly influential Drudge Report, visited Michael Savage’s San Francisco-based national radio show in-studio Friday to celebrate the talk host’s 75th birthday.
After sharing Chinese food with Savage, Drudge got behind “The Savage Nation” mic and took a couple of calls, declaring, “We’re trying to save this young Trump administration.”
“I do think there is a crisis, on many fronts,” Drudge said. “Is some of it of his own making?”

Drudge said he suspects Congress is deliberately sabotaging Trump.
Noting Obama had a stimulus bill on his desk on Day One, he asked: “What did this Congress give this great man? Nothing.”

Trump was doing all right until he had to deal with congress. His EO’s are what he promised. His selection of Gorsuch is what he promised. The economy is on the upswing. markets are up. The healthcare bill didn’t work so everyone is convinced he’s a lib or whatever already. Are these the same folks who were backing Cruz before the election? If Trump went any further right than he has by choosing the staff, judge, etc that he has what chance does anyone think that if someone further right than Trump could ever win an election and survive? I’m not quite sure what folks expect. Did the FC propose their own health care bill, or was it just thrown out and rejected?. I saw interviews with some of them saying the night before the vote they were onboard and it was going to pass. The markets on the morning of the vote heard that too and took off like a rocket then everything fell apart. What happened?
Mostly. But, they've dragged a few idealists into the fray as well. As if Cruz could have ever been elected, and if so that he wouldn't be dealing with the same level of obstructionism to prevent a full repeal. We're going to have to take what we can get in order to live and fight another day, the old Reaganesque half a loaf being better than none. Jumping on a soapbox to scream that it isn't perfect accomplishes what? Obamacare continuing on as is. Those who think it'll ever be allowed to totally collapse in order to usher in free market solutions are dreaming. We'll all end up on Medicaid is what that would lead to.

Did anyone think that GOPe stopped being GOPe because Trump was elected. GOPe doesn't have a clue how to govern and never wanted to govern. They are happy to have the Democrats do the dirty work so long as they get their cut. Now that the President is "theirs' they think their fair cut just ratcheted up.
Any doubt who the real enemy is. As Trump said long ago, we get the Democrats, where they are coming from. It is the Republicans we don't understand - except we do. They are fat, lazy, corrupt money-grubbing shills for K-Street.
I don’t think Sen. Cruz is eligible to be President, but the personality cult that is taking hold around Trump that causes normally rational people to support keeping 80% of Obamacare and calling it something else is not a good sign.
There was more than one alternative so I will give you the same advice trump should heed.. don’t train your guns on the Constitutionalists... we dont react kindly. I don’t like party pimpers very much.
Provide an option that does better and get it through Congress on the desk in front of Trump to sign. He’ll sign it, do you doubt this even amidst your screeching about personality cults?
Put up or shut up is an appropriate response, where is this alternative? Better get it out there, time’s a-wasting.
I suspect the public has a stomach for a “Twittering” President only for so long. After a while, he becomes a caricature and we see this in the 36% approval rating. I am disheartened by having family members serve in the inner circle. It was cringing to watch Ivanaka at the table with Germany’s Chancellor. What the hell was she doing there?
So much for sick of winning, if we are true to ourselves we must admit that all this is not going well. If Grouch fails to the filibuster, and the RINOs refuse to go along with the Rats by not ending it, this would be as much as a disaster as the Trumpcare Plan that went up in smoke.
There are alternatives out there, but the RINOs won’t allow them to get to the floor of the House.
Mo Brooks complete repeal bill and the one they sent to Obama’s desk that was vetoed.
Ryancare was not repeal and was a worse replacement.
If they allow some input from the Freedom Caucus and improve it to the point that illegal aliens are kept out of coverage and more of the mandates are removed, they will support it.
I remember Savage and Drudge used to attack each other, but then Drudge started posting links for Savage’s show even though Fox News, Levin, and Hannity aren’t friends with Savage. Savage used to say that Drudge has no education, he made fun of him for being upset when Peter Jennings died, and he would attack Drudge for covering Limbaugh more than him. Drudge took a few shots at Savage on Drudge’s radio show.
Has Trump even sent over 10% of the political nominations he’s supposed to have, but need the approval of the Senate for?
Despite Trump's arm-twisting public statements condemning the HFC, and despite the somewhat prideful and backhanded statement in kind from Mark Meadows, do you doubt that Trump is working hard on an acceptable compromise with the HFC?
I don't.
Exactly who was the other choice Nov 8th?
He now says he wants to work with Democrats.

Paul Ryan should have done that before he introduce the crap sandwich of Ryancare.
This episode is the responsibility of Ryan and the RINOs.
If the SCOTUS nominations fail, that is epic for the future. I don’t see that happening although I am an optimist. I also pray for God’s mercy and a worldwide spiritual revival before His wrath is released.
