Vaccine fears are on display today in Washington, D.C. A group called Revolution for Truth is leading an anti-vaccine event that includes a rally outside the National Press Club and talks by at least 15 speakers. The day will culminate with a speech by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an outspoken opponent to vaccines and founder of the World Mercury Project. The stated purpose of the event is to protest the biased media coverage, exploitation by the pharmaceutical industry and government protection that, the group says, perpetuate the use of what it says are dangerous inoculations.
Several dozen people gathered outside the National Press Club this morning, protecting protest signs with umbrellas. “Safety before profit,” said one sign. “Children I love suffer serious vaccine injuries,” said another. “Our children are not lab rats,” read yet another. Rally leaders with a megaphone led chants of “CNN, tell the truth! CDC, tell the truth! No vaccine mandates! No more lies!”
Many signs and chants called for a government subpoena of William Thompson, a psychologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Thompson was part of the CDC research team that investigated whether thimerosal-containing vaccines were linked to an increased incidence of autism. Following an interview by Andrew Wakefield, the British doctor known for his role in fueling the widely embraced belief that vaccines cause autism, Thompson became suspected of omitting data linking vaccines and autism in black children from the published CDC study.
Meanwhile, on a rain-soaked sidewalk outside the National Press Club, one sign summarized the conspiracy that many anti-vaccine protesters believe is behind the continued administration of vaccines to children: “Med-Pharma compensates government that mandates; doctor vaccinates; child deteriorates; Congress obfuscates. Subpoena Dr. Thompson! #CDCWhistleblower.”

There are literally thousands of children being injured, damaged and even killed yet the doctors keep saying “vaccines are safe.” Billions of dollars have been paid out through the federal government vaccine court yet they still keep promoting more and more vaccines.
We have a generation of children that are sicker than any other developed nation and we give more immunizations than any other developed nation. Hmmmm makes you start to wonder, well if you are a thinking person it does.

People having problems with children is sad and stressful and they are looking for someone to blame. I have a disabled child of my own, but placing blame based on some Luddite snake oil claim is ridiculous. Thanks mainly to vaccines, childhood mortality has been cut in half. Before the 1800s people often lost 1/2 of their children to infectious diseases that are now easily prevented with vaccines. The anti technology movement is well directed to put money in the pockets of lawyers. Lawyers are usually the leaders of these movements.
Medical research has been so politicized I never completely believe anything coming out of the Medical community these days. My son had the required vaccinations back in the day, with no repercussions. Maybe we were just lucky. But when it comes to Gardasil, I am on board here. It was never tested on young ones. And those are the ones being targeted, ‘before they become sexually active’. There have been numerous devastating side effects from this vaccination, unluding some deaths. But it was pushed hard by the Obama Admin as a silver bullet for preventing cervical cancer, caused by HPV. I wonder how much the drug company was ‘gifted’ with for this magic inoculation. I am such a cynic, that I figure those in charge thought they could do away with the cost of Pap smears, if every preteen had this vaccine. Insurance used to cover a yearly Pap smear for every woman. Now it’s 18-49, once every 3 years; 50-65, every 5 years and after age 65, only if you have symptoms. And trust me, if you have ‘symptoms’ (bleeding) after age 65, it is probably too late to save you. That’s my rant today. Hope some TRUTH TELLER figures out what is going on here. Parents must be devastated by the occasional side effects of vaccines.

Flu vaccines are about 60-70% effective. Not all viruses are the same. The flu virus mutates so rapidly it is hard to keep up with the latest strains since this virus jumps the species barrier so readily. Try not to get taken in by the Luddites. Snake oil has been selling for centuries and there is always a market for it.

These studies have been done countless times in animal models. The white coat studies in the 1950s and 1960s were done on human subject volunteers to study vaccine and therapeutic drug efficacy for biological warfare agents.
My Army dad and family dragged me all over Asia in the 1950s. I had more shots than anyone I can recall.

It is not just autism, there are many other issues that plague children today including paralysis, seizures, Asthma, auto immune conditions, chronic pain and even death.

As a former school board member of a smallish (500-1,000 students in the district, K-12) school district, I will tell you in no uncertain terms that the best way to blow up the annual budget is to have a seriously autistic, older, child move into the district mid-year.
After a few pathetic attempts to integrate such a student into the general classroom, the decision is often made to hire a full-time aide and to isolate the child in his own room whenever deemed necessary. Now, these are the cases where the child tends toward violence when upset, mind you, and not all autistic kids become violent.
But you’re way off-base if you really think that school district personnel look greedily at an incoming autistic child, hoping to cash in on a funding bonanza as a result. Quite the opposite, not to mention the effect it has on the overall education of the other students affected by his behavior.
(To those with autistic children, I’m not saying your child becomes violent when upset, but some do, as you know.)
And, for the record, I’m for vaccinating, but am also concerned that the way we vaccinate certain children should be changed in the interest of their personal safety. Adults can make up their own minds about flu and pneumonia vaccinations, but a toddler has no choice in the matter and some of them are clearly affected adversely by the current vaccination regimen. This is just not an all or none issue as many vaccination proponents seem to want to treat it, and you should know better than to treat it as one.

We lost our 14 month old grandson to SIDS this past December following his DPaT shot. I know of at least one other death of a 13 or 14 month old baby boy who received the same shot from the same lot#. Yet these two babies won’t count in the SIDS count for 2016 because they are over 12 months old. A few years ago they stopped counting babies who were over a year old, notice how that is a quick way to lower the infant mortality?

As a journalist and book author who has been researching and writing about vaccine safety for over 15 years, I believe we need an independent vaccine safety commission. Some small evidence-based changes to the current CDC vaccination schedule could significantly improve health outcomes among America’s children.
I call on the media to:
1) Investigate and report on the growing body of scientific evidence that shows that acetaminophen/paracetamol given before or after vaccines is directly contributing to the autism epidemic. This brand new (March 16, 2107) peer-reviewed article by researchers at Duke and Harvard Universities should be making headline news.
2) Investigate and report on the fact that the United States is one of the only industrialized countries that gives a vaccine against a sexually transmitted disease (hepatitis B) to infants at birth regardless of risk. This vaccine contains 250 mcg of aluminum, more than ten times the safety limit for newborns, according to the FDA. We know now that its efficacy wanes by the time children reach the age where they are sexually active or using drugs. In this peer-reviewed study, for example, only 24% of those vaccinated in infancy had protection (which indicates a 76% failure rate) without an extra (“challenge”) dose.
3) Investigate and report on the dozens, if not hundreds, of medical doctors who are making evidence-based changes to the vaccine schedule and seeing excellent results. These doctors argue that they are able to keep children safe from infectious diseases without compromising their brains or immune health. My co-author, Dartmouth-trained pediatrician Paul Thomas, M.D., has 13,000 children in his pediatric practice in Portland, Oregon. He is available to the media who would like to speak with him. His phone should be ringing off the hook.”
