Every donation over $100 USD to any and every cause or “PAC” should be public record. Donations to candidates of greater than $25.00 should be public record.

All very well to advocate that for causes you do not favor - but the reality is that all campaign finance “reform” legislation is unconstitutional.

Not just campaign contribution limitations, but the disclosure laws (such as you suggest), which are necessary in order to have any way of implementing such limits.

There are only two ways of telling the complete truth - anonymously and posthumously. - Thomas Sowell

The Ninth Amendment says that we retain any rights after the ratification of the Bill of Rights that the Framers had before the Constitution was adopted. Well, guess what! Three framers of the Constitution agitated anonymously for a public policy before the Constitution was adopted. The public policy I refer to is the adoption of the Constitution; James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay were the framers who agitated for that policy under the pseudonym “Publius.”

Obviously it was the opinion of those worthies that the Constitution would not have been adopted without the anonymous publication of their views. That it was truly anonymous is indicated by the fact that we are still not sure which of the three authored at least some of the Federalist Papers.
