And that’s the problem with Ds and too many Rs. The federal government’s job is to stay out of the way and do as little as possible and allow us to advance our own interests.
Different people have different interests and the federal government can only treat us all the same. Some want money and have little leisure. Some want leisure and do as little work as possible (in school and beyond). And all sorts of other combinations of those plus many different interests. Trying to force us all to be the same or achieve the same things cannot work except for those who have the same interests the government is forcing.
