The writer is just jealous of the people who managed to get their image licensed onto something that is sold in about every walmart, target, kohls, convenience stores, sporting goods stores, on and on and on.

The “hillbillies” are some of the most brilliant marketing geniuses ever.

*Ain’t no hills in southern Louisiana Cher*

I see plenty of people here have pointed it out. Only a Marxist would call someone who is from an area no higher than 50 feet above sea-level a “hillbilly”.

Miserable stupid pathetic morons.

Rolling Stone Magazine is a propaganda piece for the anti-American, anti-Christian, junk culture destroying our society.

How can they be Hillbillies since they live in the Louisiana swamps and probably have webbed toes?

A hillbilly is born with one leg shorter than the other so they can walk around the hills and still stand straight. One direction only.

I was born on the High Plains.

In Europe, “right-wing” is a generic insult.

In this country, “hilbilly” is a generic insult with no connection to geography.

Liberals are liars, haters and hypocrites.

Some of the most intolerant and non-diverse people I have ever met, were liberals. Their modus operandi is hate. They apply hate labels to everyone, as in, racist, sexist, islamaphobe, homophobe, xenophobe (I don't even know what this last one refers to but they use it all the time to disparage others).

Everything in the world seems to offend them. Almost every word in the English dictionary is considered by them to be a "dog whistle" of some kind, masking the real intent of the speaker or writer. They are very thin-skinned and their "micro-aggressions" are endless. Fragile, self-loathing, miserable people.

That's why I don't know any liberals anymore. Over the last twenty years, I have weaned my self off of them completely. I stay as far away from them as possible.

Life is much more pleasant and enjoyable without them.

Everyone knows that, besides this says that it has nothing to do with the band, but instead with that leftwing rag

See posts 6 and 26. I posted to you only because you started the thread.

If you ever want to be schooled on the left and how depraved they are, watch one episode of Vanderpum Rules. It’s the worst of the worst. If your children watch this show you should be concerned.

#42 Forbes estimates in 2013 that the Robertson family’s merchandise is around $400 million from deals in that past year alone. How much more since I do not know.

Jann Wenner who started Rolling Stone in 1967 is worth $700 million. The magazine in 2014 has a circulation of 1,468,263

Wiki on him or it:
Born Jann Simon Wenner
January 7, 1946 (age 71)
New York City, New York, United States
Spouse(s) Jane Schindelheim (1967–1995)
Partner(s) Matt Nye (1995–present)

RS would think that Coonass is a racial slur (it's not).

Conasses are Acadians (cajuns) and are primarily located in SW Louisiana. West Monroe is split by I20, not far from Mississippi River and is in NE Louisiana. They are more properly rednecksalthough they don't work outdoors in the sun.

I went to high school with people like them and my wife worked part time in the La Tech athletic office when Phil and Terry Bradshaw were there.

It ain’t stoners...it’s something else....this ain’t 1968

It’s either

Gay activist...my first guess......

Libtard urban anti Christian Jewish bigot from millenial to early boomtard

Jann Wenner the chicken hawk fits both bills there...the publisher

Or it’s a minority thing of some sort

Or it’s a stoned hipster least likely today

Im banking on first two scenarios

Rolling Stone did have a couple decent writers over the years

Of course mad man Hunter....entertaining and self deprecating unlike today’s earnest lefties

Craig Vetter......

Jon Kronauer....

Both great adventure writers

PJ O Rourke.....

Chet Flippo is a country writer of good standing which is all the more incredible considering he started in the Haight

I knew him in grocery store howdy level. RIP

Ralph Gleason could at least wrote well about music.....
Cameron Crowe and Joe Esterzhaus ditto
