when I was young you had county hospitals and healthcare for indigent and some charity hospitals and all medical insurance was major medical

The individual/self-employed sector is by far the most abused by the ACA scam.
A far-less equivalent ACA plan cost more than $22k 2017. The far better plan before the ACA cost me (family) less than $15/year.
I could really care less about your story. Right now it’s the law of the land and you can mock and ridicule me all you want, but as a consumer, I’ll go for the best deal right now. When the law changes I’ll find the best deal within that structure. Thanks for the econ lesson though.
