I live in a bedroom community/suburb of Muncie and have been in that Goodwill. We have a mosque on a major street a few miles to the north not far from it.
I had a couple young musselmen come to my door a couple years ago or so. When I opened the door one tried to hand me a new can of Glade air freshener. Thick accents, earnest, wanted to talk about Islam.
Maybe they thought this gambit would impress infidels and gain them entry so they could enlighten us. They were bushy-tailed eager, like Mormon `elders’ ... but on meth.
I told them I didn’t need any air freshener and I didn’t want them to come in because I didn’t want to hear about Allah. I wasn’t rude, just told them No.
You could see the one holding the can—his face clouded over and he was angry.
So I ran them off my property after telling them if a homeowner made it clear they weren’t interested they should move on or they might get moved on by the town police.
