I’m no pediatrician but couldn’t feeding a baby breast milk from a woman other than it’s mother potentially cause health problems? Sounds like a possible child welfare endangerment case.

No. Back in the day wet nurses were commonly employed by women of means.

Yup, who knows if she has some illness/disease she could pass on to the child? e.g. HIV.
