The idea is to work together, not just stand on the sidelines and throw rocks. If they are putting something forward great, if not they need to get out of the way and not moan and groan about not getting anything they want. I live in Arizona and Obamacare is killing us. It’s so bad that anything would help. You can always make it better but when people are hanging on by our fingernails we resent the people in congress fighting over the number of strand they want in the rope to save us.

In that case, why didn’t we vote on the one unifying and promise-keeping thing the WHOLE dang party already agreed on and voted on - repeal?
And proceed from there, or concurrently, to remove any other fed regulations, mandates, subsidies, etc in the area of HC.
If you want something beyond the free market after that, then you should be bugging Arizona to meddle in the HC market there.
It seems illogical to act all offended when the small minority of members who still value the promise of Freedom and still respect the Founders’ fantastic gift of the Constitution to protect Freedom from democracy end up voting against more subsidies, mandates, etc.
If more on the Hill would have respected the first principle of the American ideal, freedom, and honored the oath to uphold the Constitution, then we would not be in this mess.
I find it hard to believe the fix is more socialism, especially from the one party whose platform is against it.
If this bill was about abortion, which of course the party opposes vehemently, then phase 1 would be to open more PP clinics and give tax credits to patrons.
In the Trump era, winning apparently involves an awful lot of losing.
