We have been doing things. First off, we got Regan elected, twice. We have been working against the things you speak about ... but the GOP is not a party of conservatives. After Regan, it took a while for many to understand this. Here in Colorado, that is why we worked so hard to get the national GOP party bosses out of our primary process and turned it over to the grass roots. In 1992 the original caucus system was supplanted by the party primary and put the party bosses in charge. It took us until 2004 to fully restore the caucus system.
We have pushed to have a unified CCW system and allowed for carry in the state universities. We passed the taxpayers bill of rights (TABOR) to limit the growth of government. However our state is a magnet for liberals wanting to leave Kalifornia. So we end up being a split state that also passed things that should not have gotten through.
