FBI director James Comey 'wanted to reveal Russian meddling months before the election but was talked out of it by the Obama administration'

James Comey presented a draft op-ed to top Obama administration officials during a White House meeting in June or July, sources say

The op-ed unveiled information about Russia's interference in the 2016 election

His idea was rejected because officials thought the message would have more impact coming from multiple agencies

He revealed last week the FBI is investigating Russian meddling in the election

FBI director James Comey wanted to go public with information about Russia's interference in the 2016 election as early as last summer but was reportedly barred from doing so by the Obama administration.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and ex national security adviser Susan Rice were among those in the meeting.

Comey's idea was rejected because White House officials thought the message would have more impact coming from multiple agencies and not just him.

'An op-ed doesn't have the same stature, it comes from one person,' the source said.

According to Newsweek sources, Comey presented a draft op-ed to top administration officials during a White House meeting in June or July.

'He had a draft of it or an outline,' the source said. 'He held up a piece of paper in a meeting and said, 'I want to go forward, what do people think of this?''

If anybody believes that Obama insisted that Comey not release any details that might influence the election against Trump, they need to move to Colorado where smoking that stuff is legal!

Moreover, white hats in the NSA released the e-mails exposing DNC, Clinton and Podesta criminal behavior revolving around the election and elsewhere. Even if it had been Russia, we would owe them thanks for exposing the criminal activities of one of the candidates, not condemnation.

It shocks the conscience that the MSM tries to imply that the proper way to conduct an election is to hide their preferred candidate’s criminal behavior and now they need to try to besmirch the reputation and character of our current president because it didn’t play out that way.

For crying out loud, instead of trying to figure out who released the information, investigators should be looking at the content of the information and addressing the criminal activity exposed.

Instead, we have a bunch of firefighters standing around a burning house doing nothing until they can first figure out who called “911.”

So Comey openly admits he is a political operative selectively enforicing the LAW under the direction of the White House and not the LAW....
FIRE THIS CRIMINAL BEFORE HE COMMITS MORE CRIMES...

More fake news. After becoming FBI Director, has James Comey published ANY op-ed pieces? This is either a distraction or to get Comey in trouble. June/July 2016 predates the major WikiLeaks’ promulgation of DNC/Podesta emails. Comey would never have thrown an op-ed grenade BEFORE anything was in the public consciousness — he’d look like a nut. Inconvenient question would arise of why there were no arrests and charges if this interference was illegal and so prevalent (same questions still hold). He’d be skewered with the fact that his op-ed would interfere in the election far more than whatever the Russians might be accused of doing. What sort of interference would Comey have claimed in June/July 2016 - anti-Sanders machinations by Hillary?

It is way past time for Democrat operatives selling this tripe to specify exactly what this “Russian interference” consisted of. They have exactly zip, and are playing a game of generalities; the true believers can project whatever they wish into the void.

This whole story is falling down. “Better from multiple agencies”? What does that mean?

The FBI is the premier investigatory, counter intelligence force, they carry the most weight. So the article is covering the cover up with another cover up to protect the Obama Administration. The real reason is that Russia was helping with Iran, and Obama did not want to antagonize them with election shenanigans when the Clinton victory was in the bag. Further, it really means that Obama was either negligent, or that the Russia mischief did not amount to any worrisome level that he would have to call out the dogs. Finally, it means that with all the attention that Comey was putting on it, any evidence of felony collusion by Trump would have brought an immediate attack by the Justice Department on the Trump campaign. He would have been a hero to the uniparty, and be enshrined in the FBI leadership until he retired.

So which is it Obama, are you incompetent, inept, or thought that Comey was being too harsh, or you ignored Trump’s collusion with the Russians? Because the story the DNC is running with is taking on water and starting to sink.

Worse still.....Brennan’s CIA illegally spied on the US Senate, a clear constitutional crisis and frankly an act of treason. Was he arrested? Was he imprisoned? Was he even fired? None of the above, because Obama is corrupt. No getting around it. This was a serious felony, worse than Nixon, and Obama’s DOJ looked the other way.

The point is not whether one knows whom Podesta is, the point is there is evidence the dems were involved in felonies and any disclosure of them would more than be embarrassing. That is why the administration did not want any disclosure of an inquiry about Russian “hacking”. The hacking was of Podesta, not the election results. The meddling was something dreamed up by the Clintonestas to explain how they lost, it was total BS.
