I’m in the wrong line of work, apparently.
I’ve banged things out in MS Paint that were superior to this.
The bad thing is, I knew about this logo-designing business being stupidly overpaid back in the 1990s.
That’s when I saw the behind-the-scenes creation of Next Computers, one of Steve Job’s failures. They spent ungodly amounts of money on a logo design, before they even had a product to sell. I shook my head in disbelief.
Then I worked for an Italian company in the late 90s early 00s, and when I replicated the goofy logo on some barcode labels they wanted to use for inventory labeling, they chewed me out up one side and down the other. By God, they had spent over $100,000 for that logo, and they didn’t want a blocky monochrome version put on barcode labels by some peon!
Just to be clear: I didn’t see Next Computers stuff up close and personal. It was in a documentary. So I never worked anywhere near there.
