I saw this interview on Tucker Carlson’s show and almost choked on a chicken drumstick. Where’s Betsy DeVos? We, as Americans shouldn’t even be HAVING this conversation. Something’s gotta happen and soon. Call our congressmen? Yeah, sure. McCain and Flake are always glad to hear from me. /s
All signs point to DeVos being golden, but how she misses this I really don’t understand. I believe she is thought to be Christian, perhaps devoutly so, I don’t recall how broad her Christian credentials were nor her Christian support, but she came off dumb as an oxe in the hearings. However, she reportedly has poured truck loads of her husbands money into conservative causes. Maybe that was enough.
Conservative Christians generally still, to this day, find nothing quite alarming enough going on against their children to ever pull them out of public schools. You hear or read about isolated examples, but broadly speaking we trot them right back to the front door steps.
We have moments of outrage but a boycott of Public Education has been due, and over due, and well earned for decades. Now see where we are.
