It's been a long time, so it's nice when somebody remembers us well.

Ronald Reagan declared our service in Vietnam a noble cause, first as a candidate in 1980 and again on Veterans’ Day in 1988. There was something about the Reagan presidency that conferred upon us for the first time the right to be proud of having served. For that I am grateful.
Yes, prior notice about March 29th would have been helpful.

Chances are very good I was at the NCO Club at Redstone getting plastered.
That or out drag racing on the back roads after we closed the base for the night.
Possibly both.
