Beck reminds me of the guy that directed The Sixth Sense. I was amazed by that movie. But every single other movie of his that I saw was a huge letdown. Then I realized it was the story that was so great in that movie. The guy was a one hit wonder.
I loved Beck’s book, but I was sadly disappointed in his radio show. There was WAY too much irrelevant banter between him and his “cohost”. And then his “explosive story coming friday” stuff that eventually exposed him as a real world “Boy who cried wolf” sealed the deal for me. i.e. I don’t take him seriously.
Signs was decent...Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix.
And then there is "I loved Becks book". Which one of the 16 Non-Fiction, 7 Fiction, 3 'Control Series', or 2 Childrens' books did he like?
Every time the name Glenn Beck is mentioned here on FR, the newly inducted 'trolls' come out and engage in 'hi-tech' lynching of someone who didn't happen to march in lockstep with their particular partisan views. The common thread is they are always talking about a radio show they don't listen to, a TV show they don't watch, and books they don't read. Truly well informed. (sarcasm)
