Was Michael Ledeen a big supporter of Iraq War and many more “regime changes”? That’s what my memory tells me. If that’s so, why should I care what he says - except to be worried someone in power might listen to him?
Ledeen wanted to support an Iranian insurgency from Iraq after defeating Iraq. If we had done that, instead of Iranians killing Americans in Iraq, we would have been killing Mullahs in Iran. The regime was ripe for a fall, but Bush shied away. So, I don’t blame Ledeen for what happened after that, it was inevitable once Bush chose to occupy in place with Americans and not retaliate against state sponsors of insurgents who were killing us.
