Howdy do, Conor. *HUGZ*
Won’t be long before you’ll have plenty of dirt time. :-) Planning to have more tomatoes this year?
Hope Mrs. MacNessa has a safe trip home and had a grand time while in sunny FL.
Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
Howdy, Kathy.
Hope your mom has been kind enough to give you a quiet day.
The streets in town are looking pretty good now. Saw a few damp spots that could be dicey when I peeked at the cams this afternoon but overall, the streets are dry. That must make all of you happy.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
I did some yard work over at son's place today but he was too busy writing and reading for an end of the year thesis he's working on. So,"saving the world" will have to wait, LOL.
Howz things with you?
Ah, good! The weather was nice enough to get outside for yard work. Much better than the snow and cold keeping you inside the past several months. Soon you’ll be lazing in the lawn chair, soaking the rays. :-)
Didn’t do much today. Front moving through and that has the back giving grief. grrrrrr! No storms with this system but it’s been raining non-stop the past few hours. It needs to stop so I can make a quick run to the store.
You didn’t mention how the adorable kittehs are doing. Pixie fitting in OK?
Captain (Chaplain) Matthew Christensen, a 1992 graduate of Flathead [Montana] High School, was awarded the Soldier's Medal last week for his actions that resulted in saving the lives of two soldiers.
When Christensen went to counsel a soldier who was having a hard time, he didnt realize it would escalate into a dangerous hostage situation.
Christensen spent much of the night counseling the soldier. Later, the soldier's roommate and another chaplain showed up at the barracks.
Things got worse. The soldier called some family members, cursing them for abusive situations in the past.
Christensen said, "And then he just switched gears and he basically said, 'I have three hostages here and because of what you did to me, you're not protecting me, I'm going to kill these hostages tonight.'"

All the kittehs are doing fine. Lessa and her precious young ‘uns have settled in nicely and get along with the others well. Pixie is a bit stand-offish but doesn’t hiss at anyone. She spends a lot of time lying by the food and water dishes, guarding them from the others. LOL! She isn’t gorging any more but still wants to be sure the food doesn’t run out. Must have been a rough time for her before she showed up here.
Thankfully everyone is quiet this evening. We’ll see how long THAT lasts.
Good evening, Sand, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Good evening, radu...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Did your rain get there? Sunny and blue sky here. Hovering around freezing and tonight should stay in the low teens and not drop into single digits.
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
Hey there Kathy. ((Hugz))
Yes, the rain arrived this afternoon and hasn’t stopped. Gentle soaking rain, which is what we need. The most recent drought monitor report came out the other day and we’re still considered in moderate drought conditions.
It looked really pretty up there this afternoon when I checked the cams. Bright sunny day, though cold. Bet y’all are looking forward to warmer temps arriving by now. It’s been a cold winter this year. IIRC, someone was complaining about last winter being too warm. LOL!
The dry streets are lovely.
2:30a was a call to “get them out of here. They don’t belong”. So I did my best to shoo them out. Then at 7:30 I heard the wheel chair. Why are you up so early? I need to get dry clothes...every step she takes the last few days is iffy. Takes a while to get to the commode and first thing in the morning is more urgent. Got that “problem” fixed and her back to bed. I tried for more sleep, but didn’t happen. Took the opportunity to read...very nice. Finished up several half done jobs, then had to explain several times that Peg is home in California and I’m here because it is Saturday.
All in all I’m satisfied with the things I got done today, including laundry. Just have to fulfill my promise to file for an hour before I go to bed tonight. LOL!
Have you gotten all your storm damage cleaned up?
Well darn. It would have been nice if you’d been able to get a decent night’s sleep. At least you got some unfinished jobs taken care of today and that’s a plus. Good luck with your promise on the filing. LOL! We know how those things usually work out.
Most of the downed trees are cleaned up. Hubby has a buddy who has a tree service and he took care of the big stuff with his equipment. Most of the smaller stuff has been piled up to burn later on.
Hubby hasn’t started on the new well house yet. He has the new one on hand but has to take the crunched one down first.
ODAAT.
Hi Everybody!
((((HUGS))))
I just got in after going to hear sis’s band, and sat in for a few numbers.
Now I am listening to Rhapsody in Blue, and catching up!
