Paul Ryan has managed to get the president on board for a bill that is essentially Hillarycare.

There is too much rhetoric about why the bill is no good, without explanation. Is it that complex?

Why is the AHCA a good start? Some of the favorite features are no mandates, no penalties, repeal of taxes hidden in Obamacare, allowing the states to manage Medicaid, and, allowing states that opted for Medicaid expansion to keep it. These features are the exact opposite of what's in the Obamacare, which has failed miserably.

No one gets hurt with the AHCA, except maybe the insurance and prescription drug companies, who will have to retool their business models. Building their models around Obamacare didn't work.

The health insurance plan you were supposed to be able to keep is gone. Obamacare defined it out of existence. Yes, you were lied to!

Many doctors some people were supposed to keep are gone.

Competing insurance companies in over a third of the counties in this country are gone.

Some people's jobs are gone.

Many of the so-called health insurance exchanges are gone.

Most of these “improvements” reduce the funding for oobamacare and will make it more onerous as premiums have to skyrocket into space. If the strategy were to be allowing the system to crash so that it can be finally abandoned, that might work but it leaves Trump’s name on it if he signs it. It becomes his baby and when it fails the failure is all his. Somehow, I can’t see Trump augering himself into this particular hole. He is just not that dimwitted, no?
