The facts suggest otherwise. In the nearly 17 years between the London Tube bombings of 2005 and yesterday, there was only one fatal Islamic terrorist attack in the UK, and that was the notorious street killing of Gunner Lee Rigby. But in the last three years alone, there have been 90+ convictions for conspiracy to cause acts of terrorism. In other words, the police (and MI5) are doing a pretty good job in uncovering and preventing terrorist plans before they happen, which is as it should be.
