At the outset of a pivotal week in Washington, FBI Director James Comey delivered a political gut-punch to President Donald Trump Monday — and the news possibly could get worse for the president in the days and weeks ahead.
In sworn testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, Comey said there was no evidence to Trump's claims that Barack Obama wiretapped him and Trump Tower, as the current president alleged in a series of tweets earlier this month. And he confirmed that his agency was investigating the 2016 Trump campaign's links with Russia's effort to intervene in the presidential election.

A president may remove an FBI director for ‘Adequate cause”
Bill Sessions was fired by clinton for simply using FBI aircraft for ‘personal reasons’- clinton said of sessions that he “can no longer effectively lead the bureau and law enforcement community.” And he fired him
Congress can remove one for high crimes and misdemeanors or bribery charges etc a 2/3 vote is required

The main stream press is irrelevant these days to Trump’s elections or re-election in 2020 since they lie and mislead so much where most voters are on to them. As long as Trump keeps having conversations directly with the voting public, the Establishment will remain irrelevant. The liberal mass media and the Establishment hasn’t comes to grips with this reality yet. However, I don’t expect them to stop with their deceit in any case since they do not have much of anything else.
I agree the left will go mental- but no matter what trump does- the left and msm are going to go mental for the next 4-8 years- They will look for anything to impeach trump on- but firing a director for incompetency certainly isn’t grounds for a legit impeachment- they can claim he did so to try to cover up- but they would have to prove it- and there would be no evidence that it was a cover-up- Everything trump does is going to enrage the left anyways- I think most Americans think Comey should go

Trump’s been taking it from them for almost 2 years now non-stop from the day he announced to run. He’s tough. Does not care a whit what the dingbats in the lame media press, and all his enemies have to say. We pick the right guy to handle the pressure. Actually, he probably likes it.

To this day, you have never repudiated your smears against Donald Trump, wherein you've called him a "fraud", a "con-man", a "charlatan", and have falsely accused him of inciting violence.
In short, you parrot every left-wing smear and talking point, and you don't have the guts to address your own record of Trump-hatred.
Most everyone here knows what you are; all the eloquence and erudition in the world can't change the fact that you're a Trump-hater—someone who hasn't repudiated a single one of your ad hominems against the man.
You decry alleged ad hominems against yourself, yet you routinely engage in them with respect to President Trump. Given the well-documented evidence in support of that assertion, and given how you've so profoundly and regularly underestimated Donald Trump for almost 2 years straight, your abject failure to even acknowledge that hateful history has rendered you irrelevant.
To reiterate: you've slandered Donald Trump by engaging in the smears that I cited above, and you neither deny them nor repudiate them.
