“Is being able to shout “Omaha” a qualification for holding public office?”

Take a look at how Peyton has managed his NFL & endorsement earnings.

Take a look at his community involvement and real financial investment in those communities.

I just don’t think Manning has any political aspirations.

If memory serves, wasn't the last time a Tennessee qb was sent to DC, it was that sorry excuse Heath Shuler? I'm not sure whether he claimed to be GOP or dem, but I do recall he was a better dem than any declared dem.

No, but being one of the best and most popular quarterbacks in NFL history is.

How So ?

Because if you were a popular and one-of-the-best football players a lot of people will give you political support. Doesn't mean you will good job but it does mean you can likely be nominated and might win. That's what I meant.

I just don’t think Manning has any political aspirations.

The persistent rumor in Nashville is that he's putting together an ownership group to buy the Tennessee Titans.

Let’s see, so far rumors to run for senate...Carl Edwards, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady...what’s next Geno Auriemma for Connecticut senate? Aaron Rogers in Wisconsin? What I want is conservatives, not people who are famous?

I suppose, but being for Jeb confirms he would be a RINO politician.
