I never damage the property of others. I have, however, been known to re-shelve books in a more appropriate location. Whether it’s “Heather has Two Mommies” or fake news in praise of the drug-addled communist who just left our White House, I have no problem with putting it behind some physics books on a top shelf, or even in a void space under the bottom bookshelf (look at how library bookshelves are arranged - there is a gap that will hold a lot of inappropriate books).

As for the vandals, I despise certain books far more than they do, but I have respect for taxpayer dollars. We are the good guys - we may get violent (on a scale they will never be able to imagine unless they push too far), but we don’t engage in petty violence or petty vandalism.

It is a defilement of the living Moslem unless he is engaged in takiya or in not looking abnormal in an infidel society which, I guess, is visual takiya. Moslems in western societies drink lots of alcohol, too. Just about everything is permitted in infidelland so long as the Mohammedan is working toward Moslem goals against the infidels.

Most of the comments on this thread are an embarrassment to Free Republic. We respect public and private property, and we don’t suppress free speech by destroying content that we disagree with, especially in such an unseemly manner. Or so I thought. There is no one on this thread who wouldn’t be appalled if someone - arguing that certain passages in the Bible are offensive to them - urinated on a Bible.
