Yes, she is elected. And I believe she has taken an oath to uphold the Florida Constitution and state laws. This includes the use of the death penalty where appropriate.

This state attorney has now said she doesn’t intend to seek the death penalty - ever. And the reason: she doesn’t like the death penalty - doesn’t like the laws she has sworn to uphold.

She is in the wrong job, in the wrong state.

During her campaign she said she had no philosophical problems with capital punishment and that as state’s attorney she would seek it in an appropriate case.

Now she says no way Jose no matter what the perp did. She should be impeached, not just involuntarily recused.
