“What is lurking behind the corner while we’re outside throwing a Frisbee might be looking to make our lives less pleasant,”

A few years ago here in Michigan, there was a week in late February where the temps rose into the high 60's and into the 70's. Me and my senior homies played some softball and my magnolia tree started to blossom. Then BOOM! Winter came back, killed the blossoms and that was it for the spring. Didn't have any problems with mosquitoes or ticks that year tho.

Life returned to normal.........

They are not scientists. Weather varies. Climate varies. Stop trying to pin it on the wrong causes.
The right causes: the Sun and its varying output. The Earth’s wobble.

Seattle's daily high temperature was consistently around 5 degrees below normal from the first week in December until the first week in March.

Whenever Seattle is colder or wetter than normal, that means the Eastern USA and the Midwest are warmer and drier than normal.

I assume that also means that much of the northeast Pacific Ocean was colder than normal, since almost all our weather systems roll in from the Pacific.

Curiously, our winter last year was much warmer than normal because of a warm “blob” of ocean water, the size of Lake Superior, located just to the west of the Washington state coastline.

Naturally, the warm blob was blamed on man made Global Warming.

However, only Conservatives noticed, and publicized, that the warm blob of ocean water was directly above the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which is where the Pacific Ocean plate slides under the North American continental plate.

There could be be dozens of hydrothermal vents in that area that release superheated gas and water into the surrounding ocean. The flow from those vents can change dramatically over time, and new vents can form, or completely shut down, very quickly.

Only a small portion of that area is actively monitored, so no one has any idea how much of the heat in that area was caused by completely normal geological events.

When “the scientists” talk about records, how far back do these records go?

In California it is 2000 years. As in the worst draught in 2000 years.

Weather is not climate... except when it’s warm. When it’s cold, it’s just weather.

“When “the scientists” talk about records, how far back do these records go?

And sometimes (often) the record highs are in a couple os hundredths of a degree. Not even out of the margin of error!
Got a greenie friend to do a search on his computer;
What % of the atmospere is Nitrogen? “Wow! More than I thought!”
What % of the atmosphere is Oxygen? “Wow! Less than I thought!
What % of the atmosphere is Carbon Dioxide? “Wow! That’s all” ?”
Hopefully his wheels are turning!

Jeez...L was hoping for global warming! Deserts will become arable, the beach will be an hour closer and Manhatten, Los Angeles and Miami will be under water.

No, wait! The residents of the corrupt coastal cities will flood inland!

Throughout the warmer than usual February I said over and over, “We’ll not hear the end of this ‘global warming’ for months.”
