“There were occasional setbacks in my efforts to round out my Navy profile. My reputation was certainly not enhanced when I knocked down some power lines while flying too low over southern Spain. My daredevil clowning had cut off electricity to a great many Spanish homes and created a small international incident.”
Then the article goes on to say, “But while McCain himself admits this incident was cause [sic] by his own ‘daredevil clowning,’ he landed safely and did not lose the aircraft. McCain’s detractors should scratch that ‘crash’ off their list.”
Um...yeah, right. Who cares about the power lines, the poor souls who were without electricity, and the teensy-weensy little international incident. All that matters is covering up for McCain. Even a tornado couldn’t put that much spin on a news story.
So typical of how the media covers up for McCain’s incompetence, in and out of the Senate. I’ll never know how he wasn’t ousted for saying to his wife, in front of the Arizona press, “At least I don’t put on my makeup like a trollop, you c***.” What does he have on these people, that he can get away with absolutely anything??
8th from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. He never would have gotten in if it weren’t for his father and grandfather, but at least he has continued to disappoint from that point forward. Truly a despicable human being.
