God is silenced in the hearts of those who live on the edge of despair like those who have been unemployed for years and have prayed for a job. Faith carries one only so far and is then replaced by despair when prayers are not answered. Despair sets in when God stops talking and for too many He has been silent for too long and religion will appear as being a security blanket that brings no defense against the horrors of life.
Those who continue to have faith, be thankful but don’t flaunt it.
Don’t confuse faith with religion.
God is never silent. We may not always hear Him, but God never stops talking. We may stop listening though
