I think when Romney named Ryan as his VP choice, there was some hope that he was actually a fiscal conservative, who would be a good strong balance to Romney’s very liberal record. The first interview that I saw with him, he went on and on about how his mother had gotten Social Security when his dad passed away at a young age. He kept going on about how important and vital ALL of the “safety net” programs were and how we could never touch any of them...I decided right then that he was a political shill to the core.
Everything I have seen since then has only reinforced my opinion!
