they need to make darn sure there is NO WAY any Democrat president/Congress can resurrect the Beast

No Congress can be bound by the previous Congress. Or so the Constitution says......

I think we have high premium & high deductible, because every one lump into one insurance pool. Not like previous the system without the exchange, high risk pool,pre-existing pool are rated separately based on your health.

I’m with with you but almost none of these politicians are thinking exclusively of the Constitution or want to put their faith exclusively in the free market. Even Constitutionalists in Congress have to think about the political realities so that ardent Leftist progressives don’t capture the hearts and minds of too many voters.

The question is how long would it take for the free market to sort out the ObamaCare mess? Will it take a year? Will it take two years or longer? How many seats are up in 2018? 468 seats are up for grabs on November 6, 2018.

We both agree end result needs to be free market healthcare and insurance. The problem is that the transition from a socialist healthcare model to a free market health care model will be very both politically and economically “rocky”. The Republicans understand this quite well and they are afraid to be left holding the bag (people losing their insurance or coverage) so they are focusing on “improving” ObamaCare and will kick the can down the road.

Trump appears to be really quite far to the Left on this issue. He might be playing rope a dope with the Democrats and the RINOs. Perhaps his upcoming tour will make the base’s wishes about ObamaCare abudently clear and sway some politicians.

My strategy would be to ease the transition but still end up on the right side of the Constitution. It might take redirecting government monies in a limited fashion for a limited time to give insurers and insurees some wiggle room to cushion the impact of this transition. I think we have to do this to coax the GOP leadership into getting rid of this laviathan because right now we have the best chance of getting rid of ObamaCare that we are going to get.

What you say is true, but they also made expensive things free if they are “prevention” like free $5000 colonoscopies. Only healthy people get thise. If you are sick it’s “diagnostic” and you pay your $6,500 deductible first.

Who care if 14 million people lose “coverage” if they could not afford to use their plan (which they had to pay for too) anyway due to the deductible ?!?

Tort reform would help a lot too.

Export lawyers to foreign countries!
