Halperin: People Have Told Me That Trump's Win Was The Worst Event In Their Lives.
Townhall.com ^ | March 13, 2017 | Matt Vespa

Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week and said that there have been people who are optimistic about Trump, but added that there’s the other half who think that this is the worst thing that’s ever happened in their lives. My God—will these people ever get over it? I mean I hope they don’t. The more they whine, the better the Republicans’ electoral chances look in 2018 and 2020. Still, have these folks forgotten about the 9/11 attacks? And Halperin also added that Trump’s victory was more cataclysmic than 9/11 (via Daily Caller):

“Outside of the Civil War, World War II, and including 9/11, this may be the most cataclysmic event the country has ever seen,” Halperin said on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday, appearing with collaborator John Heilemann.

“I don’t want to minimize the loss of life in 9/11, and in the wars,” Halperin said. “Obviously that is beyond anything that has happened. But if you think of how this has convulsed the country — More than half of the country that voted against him and is upset about his being president — it’s self inflicted.”

Halperin commented on the divide between how Trump supporters and others in the country view the new administration. “I’ve traveled a lot since [Trump] got elected and there are people who are hopeful, and optimistic, and really think this is the kind of change we need. And there are adults who say to me, ‘This is the worst thing that’s happened to me in my life.'”

He didn’t come around asking for opinions on Obama in 2009.

Good. I can only hope the LIBs/DIMs/RINOs feel the next number of years are the worst years of their crappy, useless lives. Winning!

That is the best news ever. It means there is still hope the country is turning back in the right direction and the more leftwing radicals cry defeat the more we move the next generation back to God and Country.

It’s because the media and Hollywood have brainwashed a lot of these people into thinking that Trump’s policies are crazy.

And, if this POS had asked the other half of the country, the would have said that the election of Obama was one of the worst events in the history of the U.S. So, this means nothing — especially coming from a liberal idiot

If this is true, I hope and pray no one in their life gets cancer and has to go through the horrible effects of the treatments.

A lot of people have a LOT to lose if Trump remains in office. Soros is not the only one.

Which is why Trump’s win is the best thing that could have happened to America.

And thank God, literally, that Trump has the intestinal fortitude to handle the slings and arrows. I’m sure he’s coming to Nashville to get his batteries recharged. He’ll get a warm welcome.

And I know about almost 50 million who would have felt the same way if Clinton had won.

That Trump won is the best event in our lives. And not sorry that you lost.
