I’m fine with shutting it down. The beast will only die if it is starved.

Democrats won’t shut it down. They can’t afford for their voters to know they can live without it. Definitely be short term pain, but Churches and local charities would step up keep people fed. Might do us all good to rediscover what is really important; and it ain’t Schuckie Choomer..

The rats may think shutdowns result in closing national parks and VA functions. Wait til they find out it can mean, with the right President, denial of funding to leftist causes and states in order to keep the rest of the government running. Reagan and Gingrich both gave in to the cries and lamentations of RINOs and caved during shutdowns. Trump might not, and we may be in for months of it. At some point, Republicans have to win one of these battles, not cave every time and feed the fear they have of a shutdown. Might as well be now, when we have a man of courage in charge.
