Supposedly, a shortage of teachers is driving this. Gee, wonder why that is? Could it be that CA classroom diversity, including having to accommodate multiple languages, has made the job unacceptable to most?

We have friends who’s kids have passed their teaching certs in CA and can’t get full time teaching jobs. No shortages.

That, and the appalling lack of discipline and authority in the schools, plus every parent salivating to hire a lawyer on behalf of their kid.
