Mixed feelings:

• Let's start in agreement: The plan as offered is a big feces-sandwich. That said:
• We must remember that this man -- in the face of Democrats, Republicans, and a hostile media -- beat everyone and became President. You don't accomplish that without smarts, determination, and a good strategy.
• Trump is better than any of us (or all of us combined) at navigating minefields. He was born under the baptism of fire of New York City, where liberals run riot. He's aware of those sorts of folk, and succeeded in spite of them all.
• He said (without quite saying, but I heard it through his surrogates) that this is the very first phase of the process. I guess, when negotiating, you have to start somewhere.
• I expect him to start whittling down the things he does not like, and beefing up the things he likes -- and adding things not yet even mentioned.

So while we might look at what he is doing as 'endorsing', it might be much more likely that what he is doing is 'starting'.

With Ryancare, we are completely and utterly screwed. Pelosicare if left in place will completely collapse. We’d be better off with it completely collapsing. What we’d get after the collapse will be better than what we’ll get under Ryancare.

Besides, the RynoCare plan has been public, what, 3 or 4 days? It's a little early no matter what else.

Everybody is whacking.

This is not the end of it. The structure of this bill defunds Obamacare. It does not repeal it. Because it is only fiscal in nature, it can be blown through with Republican votes only, as a "reconciliation bill".

The RATs can't fillibuster it.

President Trump is working it hard.

If it is successful, all kinds of other repeal and deregulation bills will follow, including; massive "Health Savings Account"..."Association Health Plan" and "Interstate competition" proposals.

It is what it is.....a carefully revised and parsed DEFUNDING bill.
